    Reencuentro Taíno Conference 2025 will be held virtually on Saturday, August 9, 2025. All sessions will be held live on Zoom, accessible through the official Reencuentro Taíno Conference website. Register now.

    Reencuentro Taíno Conference is a celebration of Taíno language and culture. It provides a space for the Taíno community and allies to connect and explore the rich linguistic and cultural history of the Taíno people, sharing and learning for future generations.     To register for the conference, visit our registration page, complete the required information, and click "Register". You will receive a confirmation email with the login information.
  • Will I have a chance to ask questions?
    Yes! Each session will include a live Q&A where attendees can ask questions directly to the presenters.

  • I'm not able to attend. Will there be recordings?
    Yes! Conference recordings will be available in the Past Events section of our website. Sign up for the Reencuentro Taíno Conference newsletter to be notified as soon as they are released. In the meantime, check out presentations from 2023.
  • Who can attend?
    Everyone is welcome! This conference is free to attend. Simply follow the registration instructions to access the conference.
  • Will the sessions be available in other languages?
    Yes, live interpretation services will be provided in English, Spanish, American Sign Language (ASL), and Caribbean Spanish Sign Language (SSL).
  • What topics will be covered?
    Reencuentro Taíno Conference 2025 presenters will explore the theme "We Are Connected" through topics, such as Taíno language revitalization and decolonization, multidisciplinary projects centering Indigenous voices, and more. Check out the Agenda for a full list of speakers and topics.
